  16. Posted May 18, 2010 at 11:19 am | Permalink

All your Stash Books look great, but I’m particularly interested in “Me and my Sewing Machine.”. While I’ve been sewing & quilting for years, you’d think I know all about my sewing machine. But actually there are quite a things that I don’t feel I have that great a handle on. This book just sounds like a delightful way to round out my insights about Me and my Sewing Machine”.

I find that bird on the cover of Little Birds just irresistible. BUT, I’m most excited, I think, to see Socks Appeal. I’ve got a bag of socks… ready and waiting!

  22. Posted May 18, 2010 at 11:44 am | Permalink

I am most interested in City Quilts. I love very graphic quilts like this and I’m interested to see her designs and how she came up with them.

  23. Posted May 18, 2010 at 11:53 am | Permalink

The books all look great, but I think my favourite is Socks Appeal. I love making little creatures out of socks and I’m sure one of the patterns in Brenna’s book would be perfect for some in my sock stash.

What a hard choice! I’m excited about the new book Me and My Sewing Machine as I teach many beginning quilters to sew and they could really use this book! The Little Birds book appeals to me (as does anything to do with birds:). The City Quilter is a book I’ve been waiting for as it will be filled with ‘new’ approaches to quilt making. The Sock Appeal is just so darned _cute_!! :)

    Hard to choose.

Hmmm, it’s a toss-up for me between Little Birds, which has so many cute ideas, and CIty Quilts, which appeals to me as a quilter. I guess I’ll have to side with my passion of quilting. The City Quilts are graphically pleasing to me. I like how the author related city themes in each quilt.

Wow! What book? Hmmm…all seem very cool! But “Me and My Sewing Machine” sounds as if it would be right up my alley! I don’t sew, but I paint and often use quilts as inspiration. I’ve always wanted to quilt, but as a mother of 5, never seemed to have time. I redo furniture saw I thought, I’ll paint quilts on the furniture! Sooooo, Perhaps the book may inspire me to finally figure out how to quilt for real! lol!

I must admit though, the “Socks Appeal” looks like so much fun as well! Man, either one would ROCK!!!!!!

I thought I didn’t have a favorite, I like all four Stash books, but in truth I’ve already bought the Little Birds book because I couldn’t wait. I’ve had birds for years, always planned to use them in art and this little book pushes me into the next step.
I always favor design books that use ideas from other countries, especially European style, so this is a real winner for me.
I will write up your giveaway in my blog, hopefully I’ll get it up tonight.
And then of course I’ll be writing a book review. Little birds wandering across jackets, that sort of thing. Next on my list is city quilts–looks like some strong ideas that will work in wearable art. Please talk to me if you have ideas in that direction. I’m an editor too.

Wow! I would say my favourite would have to be the “Socks Appeal”. My daughter and I have been making sock monkeys together, and have been thinking of making other critters, and accessories.
