Hopefully you have all already read about the fabulously talented Samantha Cotterill of mummysam fame and her book with us, Fanciful Felties from mummysam. If you are coming to us today from the Martha Stewart Crafts Department blog: Welcome!
But for those of you who haven’t seen the press that Samantha is getting lately, check out a new project she created just for the Martha Stewart Crafts Dept. blog here.
If that weren’t enough to keep her busy, she is also hosting a Etsy lab tonight in Brooklyn. She will be making the Charles project from her book. The lab is at 5 p.m. EST tonight so if you are in the New York City area, I hope you can be there to cheer her on. If not, you can watch the lab remotely here, but you do have to be an Etsy member.
To celebrate the wonderfulness that is mummysam, the kind staff at Robert Kaufman have sent us a lovely fabric bundle of the line she released with them this season.
This one is my favorite:
This is part of why I am so crazy about Sam. She and I have a humorously similar “Day in the Life” for our day-to-day, as I’m sure many of us do, yet, she still manages to make the time in her life for her art. And what a gift to all of us that she does! Congratulations to you, Sam, for all of your well deserved success today. I think today is officially National Mummysam Day!
To celebrate, we are having a GIVEAWAY! I will randomly select one person who comments on this post to receive a fabric bundle of mummysam’s first line from Robert Kaufman as well as a copy of her Fanciful Felties from mummysam book. To enter the fabric bundle/book giveaway, leave a comment below by next Wednesday the 29th and I will send an email to the winner.
So go forth and enjoy all of the mummysam-ness today and then come back and share how you celebrated National Mummysam Day!
