Stash Books at Spring Quilt Market

Here are some photos I took at Quilt Market Spring 2011 this past weekend in Salt Lake City! It was a really great show and I want to thank everyone who visited our booth and attended our events.

New release Fresh Fabric Treats was featured in a Schoolhouse session conducted by Lissa Alexander of Moda, our own Susanne Woods, and several of the designers who contributed projects to the book. The event was a real hit with standing room only—check out Kimberly Walus’ blog post about it here for a detailed account and plenty of pics.

It was fantastic to be able to display the full cover quilt from Block Party—The Modern Quilting Bee in the Stash Books section of our booth.

Block Party authors Kristen Lejnieks (left) and Alissa Haight Carlton (right) had a VERY well-attended book signing in our booth on Friday, the opening day of the show. Check out all the people lining up behind them! The attendees were all so excited to get their very own copy of the May release and the energy in the booth at the time was at an all-time high.

Bari J. Ackerman also brought a throng of people to our booth for the signing of her book Inspired to Sew by Bari J.

After several attempts, I was finally able to catch her in her own booth during a rare quiet moment, just long enough to snap a couple shots.

Countryside Softies by Amy Adams upped the cute factor of our booth by a thousand percent, with the collection of woodland animal project models that surrounded it.

Even though it isn’t exactly edible, who could refuse this adorable owl cupcake?

Countdown Calendars and For the Love of Hand Stitching with Jan Constantine were also well-represented in the booth.

And of course we displayed our recent Stash Books titles as well. Can you spot the “sneaky Collin” in this pic?

I caught up with Stash Books author Camille Roskelley on the last day of the show. Her booth is beautiful down to the very last detail. She even had a type of tulip on her table that I had never seen before. And there are tulips everywhere in Salt Lake City so I can’t begin to guess how she pulled off that feat.

Little Girls, Big Style author Mary Abreu was interviewed and filmed by Boutique Café in our booth on Friday morning. I can’t wait to see the video once it’s posted—I’m secretly hoping she gave me a personal shout-out.
