Heather's "Yield Quilt" was the winner in the First Challenge of Project Modern, sponsored by The Modern Quilt Guild.

Each Wednesday we are featuring a Designer who is selling ePatterns that we think you will love on PatternSpot.com. We hope you’re inspired to get sewing right away!

Heather Jones is a modern quilter and designer, a sewing enthusiast, and the founder of the Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild. Her custom children’s clothing business, Olive & Ollie,  grew out of her love for all things handmade, and she is just now beginning to publish her quilt designs.

Designing and creating patterns is a great way for me to share my creativity with others and teach people that they can create too. I find inspiration in so many things around me in my day to day world, and it’s fun for me to take those ideas and turn them into a variety of projects that can be shared with other quilters and sewists. I’m really excited to be involved with PatternSpot.com. I think the site is a great way for modern sewists and crafters to get instant gratification; they can purchase a pattern in the morning and get started on their new project right away. There are so many great projects available there now, and I’m looking forward to adding more of my own in the near future!
