Here’s a fun and easy project for the whole family to do together this weekend – take pictures as you go!
It’s a variation on the birthday calendar called ”All Tied Up” from Countdown Calendars. Count down the days ’til Christmas by taking off 1 of the 24 tagged treasure bags each day.
First spray-paint a chain link fence connector (see pic below; available from your local home improvement store) in your favorite color.
While the connector is drying, trim lots of festive ribbons in assorted sizes and colors into pieces about 6″ long (a bit shorter for narrow ribbons and a bit longer for wider ones) You almost can’t have enough ribbons…the more the merrier! Have everyone take turns tying ribbons on to the connector, which is the foundation for your calendar.

this is fabulous! For the bags, I would get started at the beginning of the year so that whatever comes in December will be even more of a surprise!
